Launching New Dimensions of Serviceâ„

Inspired by a dedicated investment of human capital and a bold commitment to the principles of basic human rights, we shall devote our talent and resources to this cause. Awareness, advocacy and action are the primary vehicles for the worldwide delivery of our service initiatives. We invite you to join us on this journey and accept this great mission:

I. Educational Enrichment ~ This target aims to improve education systems at all levels whether it be through tutoring at the younger age group or improving the quality of HBCU's. Some of the ways in which we achieve these goals are through the following programs:

A. ASCENDâ„  ~ This program is aimed to help high school students excel and learn skills that will help them in life along with being sucessful in their academic career.

B. One Million Backpacksâ„  ~ Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated is working toward their goal to raise one million backpacks along with school supplies to donate to students around the country.

C. Think HBCUâ„  ~ This program is aimed to give back to where it all started and help to improve the qualities of HBCU's.

II. Health Promotion ~ This target uses three main programs to bring awareness to health and wellness.

A. Alzheimer's Disease and Caregiver Awareness ~  The goal of this program is to raise money for Alzheimer's research because this is the fastest growing health disease in African Americans.

B. Stroke and Heart Disease Awareness ~ Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated aims to bring awareness to a healthy lifestyle and prevention of heart disease by incouraging a healthy diet and exercise.

C. Mental Health ~ This program is to raise money to donate to meantal health organizations such as NAMI. These programs are underrecognized and this program is to bring more attention to this issue.
