It All Started in 1980...

The Nu Epsilon chapter was chartered on the campus of Christopher Newport College on January 3, 1980 by twelve distinguished young women. Marion Wright, President of Lambda Omega (graduate) Chapter, Newport News, VA, introduced the idea of chartering an undergraduate chapter at CNU in 1979. With the help of Ms. Wright along with the 12 charter members, Nu Epsilon carries a 35-year-old legacy of excellence that has continued to flourish. The members of Nu Epsilon are known for their selfless service to the community, outstanding academic achievements, and the ability to uplift other college women to their God-given potential. Nu Epsilon has been recognized for numerous accomplishments on campus along with maintaining a high GPA on campus, introducing the most innovative and creative programs within the Mid-Atlantic Region, and building a bond of sisterhood that will last throughout the lifetime of each current and future member.
